Equity Release SchemesThe Equity Release CentreWhy recycle you cartridges? To earn hard cash for your group or charity project and to reduce the amount of waste in Medway. It is possible to recycle many inkjet and laser printer cartridges. The Medway Waste Forum has set up a scheme involving two companies called TonerFlow and Office Green. Between them they offer a total recycling service from collection of empty cartridges to supply of remanufactured cartridges. Toner cartridges are the, usually large, plastic cases that contain the toner (dry carbon powder plus fixer) used in laser printers of all kinds including printers, fax machines and photo-copiers. Inkjet cartridges are the smaller palstic cartridges that hold wet ink used in the less expensive inkjet printers and faxes, both black & white and full colour. The larger toner cartridges typically weigh around 1kg and so if everyone in Medway disposed of these in their household waste they would quickly add up to many tonnes of waste each year. To prevent all this wasteage and to earn your charity, school or community group, some extra income why not collect and recycle your toner and printer cartridges. Office Green provide a free service for the collection of your used cartridges and can also provide collection boxes to keep the used cartridges in. Office Green can also provide some amusing posters to help advertise your collection scheme. In addition you can save your group even more money by buying remanufactured cartridges from TonerFlow. All cartridges supplied by TonerFlow are completely remanufactured, not simply refilled, and so come with complete guarantees to protect your equipment. If TonerFlow cannot supply remanufactured cartridges for your printer they will be able to supply Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) cartridges or new compatible cartridges at a fraction of high street prices. How to Set Up Your Scheme Phone Carol Pigram at Office Green to sort out the collections of your old cartridges. Please mention the Medway Waste Forum as we will then get statistics on the amount being recycled. Phone Kelly Taylor at TonerFlow to start buying remanufactured cartridges at a fraction of the cost, both financially and environmentally, of new ones. Please mention the Medway Waste Forum as we will then get statistics on the amount being recycled. To view a copy of the MWF Factfile on cartridge recycling, left-click the link below.
